"Content Unavailable" for every video on youtube

3. "Content Unavailable" will appear

Expected behavior

The video plays like it should

Actual behavior

Not a single video or live stream from youtube will be playable on NewPipe

This bug has been ongoing for 5 days. I commented in a different issue about this but someone decided to close it out since the original poster caused the bug by using a VPN. That is not the case here.

This is related to your IP address. YouTube is suspicious of your IP address. This should be a serious block against your IP address due to activity from you or other devices connected to the network. That is, your IP address is blacklisted. The reasons are various. Request a new IP address from your ISP. Do not open a duplicate issue. This issue has been pin. This cannot be fixed for some IP addresses. More precisely, it cannot be fixed. This is a problem between you and YouTube. This will work on some IP addresses. thank you

Got the same problem since this morning. No problem from other devices from same network.

Disabling the permanent wireguard vpn, routing my cell phone data to my home network, solves the issue. Strange because the VPN output and my cellphone were on same network (i.e. at home) when I got the issue.

Maybe now google use something related to websocket, that doesn't work with wireguard, to discriminate suspicious connection.

@Justwhy22 As already stated by @alimima, this is a YouTube issue that is temporarily banning your IP address. You do not need to be using a VPN for this to happen. This is not a NewPipe issue, this also happens in the browser.

The exception message says "Sign in to confirm that you're not a bot", which makes it clear this is happening because you are not signed in. At any time, YT can decide to present someone with this error if they are not signed in, regardless of how they access YouTube.

So, yes, this IS still a duplicate of #11139.

I will be closing this. Please do not open another issue about this again
