Unable to play or download videos on resolutions greater or lower than 360p.

It looks like Google implementing yet another new feature that NewPipe likely not recognised & stuck at 360p, mainly audio streams? Because I do also got one too but thrown an error "could not get audio streams".

Also when is the extremely irritating problem of being spammed with 30-40 old video notifications that have already been watched/downloaded being addressed?

No, I haven't faced any problem with notifications. Just turn off notifications,I've done the same.

Of course you don't experience this problem if you admittedly don't use the feature. DUH...

That doesn't change the fact that it's been broken for 3 years and the maintainers of the project have avoided fixing it. It's beyond well documented at this point.

Also disabling a feature that I want to use is not a valid or logical solution. Having to manually check every channel that I folllow for new videos when there's a quality of life function that's supposed to do it for you makes zero sense.

This issue had been occuring occasionally for a few weeks (and is already documented as being to do with a change in how YouTube provides streams with the SABR protocol), but now seems to have started happening on almost every video.

Please the 'commit' or whatever it is call that I posted. Did you notice that I repeated a sentence 3 times and uploaded the same set of screenshots twice‽ it's because I haven't got the slightest of clue on how github functions.

Because you seem to think that ignorance is a valid excuse for something not to work. Free or not doesn't change the fact that the problem has been swept under the rug for 3 years. If the feature doesn't work correctly then why is it there to begin with?

Just like you admitted to burying your head in the sand about a very obvious problem that you insinuate is resolved by choosing not to use it, maybe you should also not comment on things that you, (again admittedly) know nothing about.

Using your logic, 360p video is not actually a problem. I guess since you have been provided the app for free, even mentioning the problem makes you "salty". How dare you ask a maintainer to address a bug. Just don't use the app and it won't be a problem. In fact it will magically fix itself! Am I doing it right?

Apparently the issue was this since YouTube transition to SARP protocol for video & audio streaming as mentioned in #12126? Possibly.

Yep, I think it is. This also affected on all NewPipe forks, including PipePipe & Tubular. Hopefully Team NewPipe will change their stream thing ASAP.

If not using the feature was our way of dealing with problems then we wouldn't be here. Eventhough I personally nolonger encounter many issues with notifications of old streams, I know that this error exsists and that it is a valid issue that has to be fixed. Does someone know if there is an open issue about this on here?

Also can we all please stop fighting about stuff like this? Aren't we supposed to be the same ONE community?
